A Trip to Skipton to Exchange Christmas Gifts

Today, we’d arranged to meet our son and daughter-in-law Matt and Trish in Skipton which is roughly half-way between Manchester and Middlesbrough.  We’ve used Skipton before for this reason.  Matthew had arranged a couple of tables in a room at the Red Lion hotel.  After lunch at the pub (Sunday menu), we cleared the tables and exchanged our gifts.  Afterwards, we said our goodbyes to Rodney and Wendy, who has a couple of mobility problems, then went for a walk, ending up at Caffé Nero for a tea / coffee and cake.  As I mainly take video these days, there are only two useable photos.

A 4K video of the day is available on our YouTube channel in our Daily Life playlist.  The grandchildren are not featured in this video as they are too young.

Christine and I had a warm chocolate cake with squirty cream.  I had Earl Grey Tea and Christine had a large black coffee.
